The scatter plot below shows the number of Twitter followers (x-axis) and the potential price to buy a Twitter endorsement (y-axis) from some of the top endorsed athletes. The trend line shows that there is a correlation between the number of followers and the price per tweet.
The scatter plot is an effective way to display two dimensional numerical data. If we wanted to add additional numerical information, such as the total yearly endorsement for each athlete, we would have used a bubble chart instead.
